The real issue is not and will never be climate change. The real issue is that we have lost part of our humanity. We have lost our capacity to care…. The US may or may not recognize a violation of human rights. But unless we open our hearts and embrace not just people we love, but people we don’t know, people we will never meet, and people who are not yet even born, we will never value our species enough to make it survive
