This photo is beautifully timeless! As far as I can tell, besides the fact its a digital photo, there are no indications of what century you were in as you took this picture. No cars, no motorboats, no planes or cell phones... The fact that the mountains surround it like an insulating bowl, surrounding the centuries old church further isolated by the foggy lake is perhaps a cool metaphor for isolation/loneliness.
Its also a sad picture to me though. The colors, and the fog, like a symbol to our historical short term memory, or all of the stories we ignore and forget because we don't want to take the swim across the lake. How many of those beautiful churches are…
Beautiful wide-shot. The fog drapes around the church so nicely and the branches appear to reach out to try and touch the church (I know you had nothing to do with that - creds to mother nature) but you captured a great angle during this magical time. It certainly is screen-saver worthy among other commemorating statuses. Bravo.
